In extremely remote areas, where the distance from the exchange, or aluminium cables make the use of a DSL service impossible We can use a satellite link to provide you with fast broadband at 2Mbps. Some areas can even get 3Mbps. This may not sound like a lot, but our experiences have shown that business uses far LESS bandwidth than domestic users.

Satellites do have their drawbacks. They are more expensive than DSL, there is a time lag (measured in milliseconds) between the request being sent for the first page, and the information arriving back at your computer. This is simply due to the distance the signal has to travel to the satellite and back to earth again, and once the first page is loaded the delay disappears. Like all satellite systems, they are also affected by extreme weather and electrical storms. Having said all this, they provide connectivity where no other technology can.
